Bioremediation is the process of using naturally occurring, safe, and beneficial microorganisms to degrade environmentally harmful contaminants while turning them into non-toxic compounds. In particular, these organisms break down most petroleum hydrocarbons and transform them into carbon dioxide (CO2) and water. Further, this natural process produces valuable bio-nutrients utilized by both plant and aquatic life. Our products are used to remediate contamination on land, fresh water, or salt water.

Microbial remediation products have been around for decades. The time to remediate a spill depends on the treatment plan you select. There are many factors that determine the timeline, including the scope of the contamination and the desired timeline for results. We can provide a plan and a more specific timeline once we have inspected a site. Most sites can be restored in as little as a few weeks, though more severe contamination may require several months to remediate.
The microorganisms in our products are naturally occurring and biodegradable. They thrive when they have three things: water, a temperature between 32°F and 140°F, and a food source (hydrocarbons and FOG). They seek out the food source and feed on the contamination until it is gone. The byproducts of this process are carbon dioxide and water. Also, our products double as a fertilizer. Once remediation is complete, the microorganisms return to dormancy or expire. The environment is free of contamination, and nutrient concentrations are higher. Treated water becomes clean and safe for use on farmland, both for irrigation and for animal consumption.
The microorganisms in our products are in a concentrated mixture that is diluted with water. If product has been spilled on a site or applied in concentrate for any reason, simply dilute the product with water per the instructions, and the microorganisms will go to work. Our products are non-hazardous and non-toxic — even in concentrated form, they will not harm the environment. If there is no food source for the microorganisms, they degrade quickly. The microorganisms digest the oil in a way that is similar to how the human stomach breaks down food. In the process, the hydrocarbon molecule is broken down into base components of water and carbon dioxide. The oil is completely gone.
